We all now
live in a knowledge society. We need an education system that
properly enables citizens to operate effectively within it.
This requires schools to aspire to transformation,
rather than optimisation, in they way that
they work, requiring a systemic rethink of the way that learning
is organised - in order that schools can hope to achieve a greater-than-average
impact upon pupil achievement - for every pupil.
ICT is the catalyst and enabler and there is therefore a heavy
responsibility on the ICT in Education professionals in schools
to be instrumental in driving transformation.
