The ICT Register was launched in November 2004. It is a unique online database – SITE NO LONGER ACTIVE – of cutting edge ICT practice in Schools and City Learning Centres. The Register provides a means by which members can offer their knowledge and expertise to other schools seeking to build e-confidence.
We currently have over 400 members on the ICT Register in Primary, Secondary and Foundation schools as well as 20 Special schools, 22 City Learning Centres and 5 International schools. All members are active providers of support and training to other schools and institutions seeking advice and guidance on ICT-related issues. They offer this support by providing services directly to schools or through the “Ask the Schools” section of the website.
ICT Register Schools are keen to help shape national strategies and initiatives and are strong in the envisioning and implementation of new technologies. They have worked on projects with the National Strategies and Becta and also directly with the ICT industry. They have provided feedback on initiatives and products and helped to identify their place in and their impact on learning. During this activity they have produced case studies and scenarios which we offer as part of the Naace Members Display. Therefore please take this opportunity to share in some of their exciting work.
