Internet & e-mail: ideas for integrating ICT into the primary and secondary classroom Volume 2

The first volume of 'Lewisham ideas' has proved very popular with those in-service and trainee teachers I work with. This new book continues in the same vein with another 22 activities targeted at nursery to y10/11 learners and again including the useful project proformas.

Typical tasks include a y3 activity involving searching for information about the Ancient Egyptians and a y8 project looking at the generation of electricity. These are all supported by a set of effective web resource pointers.

With the KS2 and KS3 ICT schemes of work available form the DfEE, why should this be useful? Apart from the broader range of KS covered this book also includes specimens of pupil work and teacher evaluation which enables ideas of levelling to be explored, and the response of the teacher to the use of the activity in their own teaching.

Another useful resource from Lewisham and at this price easily something that should find its way onto individual teacher and student-teacher bookshelves.
